Students selected for PMEA District 1 Band East

Seven Fox Chapel Area High School students were selected to perform with the 2025 Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) Senior District 1 Band East. The students are seniors Malik Choset (trumpet), Marina Dunham (bassoon) and Lindsay Gould (alto saxophone); juniors Elliott Broyles (trombone), Jack Murray-Krezan (percussion) and Joshua Shah (flute); and sophomore Nadre Digbohou (clarinet). The band was comprised of 130 of the best student-musicians from 31 high schools from Allegheny, Fayette and Westmoreland counties.

The PMEA District 1 Band East concert was held January 24 at Laurel Highlands High School. The guest conductor was Christopher Nichter, the director of bands at the University of Cincinnati.
