Football players volunteer with Memorial Day activity
On May 25, 2024, several members of the Palmerton Area Senior High School’s football team volunteered their time to help their local community and honor our fallen veterans by setting over 1,000 flags around the perimeter of the Palmerton Park.
“I was very proud of our players as they displayed a great work ethic and paid close attention to details. More importantly, they got to serve the community and learn a valuable lesson of giving back along with getting to interact with local veterans while helping out with a great cause,” said Chris Walkowiak, head football coach.
Along with Coach Walkowiak, the 14 members of the football team who donated their time were: Colson Ruzicka, Ben Andrews, Beau Stahler, Mason Konze, Jameson Trainer, Brady Kester, Aidan Ortiz, Vincent Taglieri, Jake Walkowiak, TJ Weller, Parker Davis, Alex Keiper, Connor Lawless and Michael Garey.
