Exploring job paths at Career Camp
Career Camp at Crawford Tech gives rising eighth and ninth graders in the county a chance to explore the future — at least when it comes to their career path. At the event, students choose three academic programs they are interested in and spend a day on each program, learning about the courses offered in those areas and possible career paths. Pathways include cosmetology, culinary arts, precision machining, robotics, pre-engineering, welding and much more. The program is hosted jointly with the Crawford County K-12 Career Education Alliance. According to an article in the Meadville Tribune, the program covers both “hard” skills, or those related to a specific job, and “soft” skills, or those that apply in any career, such as clear communication and a positive attitude.
